Spending time with both The Bombers and Dock Spiders in 2020, Erro was afforded something many players throughout the country were not: valuable game reps in a season stunted by a pandemic. While many teams were not fortunate enough to have a 2020 baseball season at all, the Pinecrest, Florida native found <em>more<\/em> fortune while winning a Northwoods League Championship with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.<\/p>\n<p>Coming out of high school, Erro was rated as a top-400 prospect in the state of Florida, per perfectgame.org. Transferring from Uconn honors, Julian will play ball for Colby College in the spring before coming to the Huskies for summer ball. Having completed its\u2019 26<sup>th<\/sup> season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, over 230 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and MLB All-Stars Jordan Zimmermann (DET) and Curtis Granderson (MIA).
