Formerly Eau Claire Fitness, the Eau Claire South YMCA officially joined the YMCA family in January 2024. The Eau Claire South YMCA will serve as the exclusive workout facility of the Eau Claire Express, providing our athletes with the equipment and services they need to perform at the top of their game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cFor the last few years, we have had the privilege of working with Eau Claire Fitness, previously Gold&#8217;s Gym, and their location quickly became where our players desired to go in the summer. So when we learned that the YMCA would be taking over Eau Claire Fitness, it was an easy choice to continue our partnership with them. We are excited to see what this new partnership will bring,\u201d said Eau Claire Express General Manager Sammi Kreuser-Costello.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Eau Claire South YMCA is located at 3225 Lorch Ave., Eau Claire, WI, and is open Monday &#8211; Friday 5 am &#8211; 9 pm, and Saturday &#8211; Sunday 7 am &#8211; 7 pm. They offer a variety of amenities including a cardio deck, resistance machines, a pool and sauna, personal training, group exercise classes, and more! The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Now in its\u2019 30th season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, 300 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (NYM), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2021 All-Star, MLB Gold Glove winner and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
