We begin our countdown today with the #10 moment of the 2014 Express Season.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t#10 Unveiling Trix: The New Express Mascot\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAs a way to celebrate the 10<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Express baseball, the front office of the Express, as well as Express fans, had the opportunity to create and name a new mascot at Carson Park as a companion to Trax. After a vote held through social media, the fans chose the name &ldquo;Trix&rdquo; for this new companion of Trax, the already popular mascot who had been entertaining fans for the past nine years at Express games. With just a couple a weeks until the season began, fans, media, and mascots around the world held their breath to catch a glimpse of the newest Northwoods League mascot.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe anticipation was palpable on opening night this past season as the Express unveiled Trix, the newest addition to the Express family. Trix dazzled fans and provided more opportunities for kids, families, and photo bombers to participate in the Express gameday experience.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhile Trax may have initially been intimidated by the beauty and splendor of Trix, the two quickly became friends and formed one of the best teams of mascots in the Northwoods League. When asked to comment on the success of the Trix and Trax duo this past season, both Trix and Trax shrugged, did their trademark high-five, and walked away giving no comment as usual.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tStay tuned next Friday for moment #9 of the Top Ten Eau Claire Express 2014 season moments countdown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This winter, the Express will be counting down the Top 10 moments\/highlights of the 2014 season.
