Eau Claire, WI \u2013<\/strong> The Eau Claire Express lost 8-2 against the Willmar Stingers tonight at Carson Park. The Express offense and pitching struggled and the Stingers proved to be too much for the home team.<\/p>\n

The Express scored their first run in the bottom of the 6th<\/sup> inning. Andrew Pratt (Lubbock Christian) led off with a single and advanced to second on an error by the Willmar shortstop. Pratt would score in the next at bat after an error by the Stingers\u2019 second baseman. The other run for Eau Claire came in the 8th<\/sup>. Pratt started with a double and scored on another error by Willmar\u2019s second baseman.\u00a0 Pratt collected two of the Express hits and scored both of the runs. The third hit for Eau Claire was a single from Jimmy Glowenke (Dallas Baptist).<\/p>\n

Starter Justin Revels (Illinois Springfield) faltered in his performance this evening. He went 3.2 innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on three hits, four walks, and struck out four. Manny Castellano (Cumberlands) made his 2018 Express debut, throwing 3.1 innings and allowed two runs on one hit with five walks. Tyler Strzelczyk (MATC) was on the mound for the last two innings. He gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks.<\/p>\n

The Express will finish the short home stand tomorrow night against the Stingers with a 7:05 pm first pitch. It will be Home Run For Life presented by Mayo Clinic Health System with a postgame fireworks show! We hope to see you at Carson Park for an exciting night.<\/p>\n
