Host families agree to house, feed, and provide support to the collegiate players who call the Fond du Lac community home during their Northwoods League season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur host families display incredible passion for our team and players,\u201d said Dock Spiders General Manager Jim Misudek. \u201cFond du Lac\u2019s status as a top destination in the Northwoods League is a testament to the attention and care that area families provide to our players. The relationships formed through this program last a lifetime and create unique bonds as our players move forward in their baseball careers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Benefits of the program for host families include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complimentary tickets for your immediate family<\/li>\n<li>Host family picnics<\/li>\n<li>15% discount in the Team Store<\/li>\n<li>Guaranteed all giveaway items distributed during the season<\/li>\n<li>Rewarding, lifelong relationships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Families interested in the program should have a separate bedroom for the player and be able to host from late-May through mid-August. Season tickets, packages, and group tickets are currently available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dockspiders.com\"><strong>dockspiders.com<\/strong><\/a> or by calling the ticket office at (920) 907-9833.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Having recently completed its\u2019 29<sup>th<\/sup> season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, over 300 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (NYM), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2021 All-Star, MLB Gold Glove winner and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
