Dock Spiders to Celebrate 8th<\/sup> Season in 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>FOND DU LAC, WI \u2013 The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders will celebrate their eighth season of Northwoods League play in 2024. As part of the season-long celebration, the club has unveiled an eighth-season logo. The graphic will be featured on promotional items, as well merchandise available HERE<\/strong><\/a> and HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Dock Spiders won their first Northwoods League Championship in 2018 and also claimed the League’s Wisconsin-Illinois Pod Championship in 2020. Since their first season in 2017, the Dock Spiders have enjoyed a .533 (253-222) winning percentage. A total of 38 former Dock Spiders players have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams, including 10 players last season.<\/p>\n

\u201cEight seasons is a special and unique milestone for a spider,\u201d said Dock Spiders General Manager Jim Misudek. \u201cWe are looking forward to celebrating our eighth season with our fans, players, and staff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dock Spiders begin their eighth season of Northwoods League play on Memorial Day (May 27). Season tickets and packages are currently available at dockspiders.com<\/strong><\/a> or by calling the ticket office at (920) 907-9833. For a limited time, each ticket package (starting at just 7 games) purchased or renewed includes an exclusive season ticket holder jersey.<\/p>\n

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college <\/em>baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Now in its\u2019 30th<\/sup>\u00a0season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 24 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, over 325 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (NYM), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2021 All-Star, MLB Gold Glove winner and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
