Young Professionals of Fond du Lac Names Misudek as a 2023 Future 5 Award Recipient
\nDock Spiders General Manager recognized at recent banquet<\/strong><\/p>\n

FOND DU LAC, WI \u2013 Jim Misudek, the General Manager of the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, was recognized by the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac as one of the Future 5 for 2023 during a banquet at South Hills Golf & Country Club on January 18.<\/p>\n

The Future 5 has been named by the YPF every year since 2013 to recognize five young professionals in the Fond du Lac area between the ages of 21 and 40 \u201cwho are presently growing and excelling in their respective \ufb01elds and will continue to positively in\ufb02uence the growth, prosperity, and quality of life in Fond du Lac County well into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

YPF is a program of Envision of Greater Fond du Lac, the community\u2019s Chamber of Commers and Economic Development organization.\u00a0 The other members of the 2023 Future 5 are Kim Bresser of Mercury Racing, Grace Bruins of Horicon Bank, Rhannon Diederichs of First Weber Realtors \u2013 Fond du Lac, and Tyler Schulz of Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home.<\/p>\n

Misudek, a native of Fond du Lac, has been the General Manager of the Dock Spiders since returning to the area in 2021.\u00a0 Prior to taking the position with the Dock Spiders, Misudek had worked as the Senior Manager, Baseball Communications with the Baltimore Orioles.\u00a0 He has also worked in the media relations departments of the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and Milwaukee Brewers.<\/p>\n

“I am incredibly honored, humbled, and excited to be named to this group of extraordinary individuals,” said Misudek. “We all share a passion and vision for the future of our community \u2013 as evidenced by the previous recipients and nominees of this prestigious award.”<\/p>\n

The Dock Spiders are owned by Third Base Ventures, the same group that owns and operates the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.\u00a0 Misudek, a graduate of both the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, began his career in baseball as an intern with the Timber Rattlers in 2006.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely proud of Jim, and it is great to see him receive this recognition, said Rob Zerjav, President, CEO, and Managing Partner of Third Base Ventures.\u00a0 \u201cJim takes a lot of pride in providing top-notch baseball to his hometown and our organization feels very fortunate to have him leading the Dock Spiders.\u201d<\/p>\n

Misudek and the Dock Spiders are busily preparing for the 2024 Northwoods League season.\u00a0 The Dock Spiders begin their eighth season of Northwoods League play on Memorial Day (May 27).
