The rally was sparked by third baseman Carter Christenson who delivered a solo shot to lead-off the inning. This was followed by a Miles Vandenheuvel two RBI single to take a 3-0 lead. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Chinooks pulled within a run after striking in the third and fourth innings, however, a Joey Arend RBI single gave the Dock Spiders a two run cushion they used to cruise to a 4-2 win. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the win, the Dock Spiders have won back-to-back games for the first time since the opening pair of games of the season and have won two straight at home for the first time this season. Fond du Lac also ended a four game skid to Lakeshore to put the season series at 2-6.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Dock Spiders pitching staff held the Chinooks to four hits through the game. Starter Sebastian Khan in seven innings of work only gave up two runs and two walks while punching out three batters. Colton Angell closed out the night allowing no hits nor runs while recording a strikeout. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fond du Lac\u2019s offense was led by center fielder Miles Vandenhuevel and designated hitter Joey Arend. Vandenhuevel went 2-for-4 and totalled two RBI and Arend also recorded two hits while notching a single RBI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Dock Spiders finish their homestand on Thursday, June 18, when they host the Wausau Woodchucks at 6:35 p.m. at Herr-Baker Field.
