It was an hour rain delay that pushed the start time to 7:30. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The game started out as a pitchers duel. Until both offenses finally woke up the bats. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How it Happened<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first four innings flew by in a pitchers duel. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Woodchucks tacked three runs on in the fifth. The fifth inning was a nightmare defensively as the Dock Spiders had three errors. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Andrew Schleusner (Montana State Billings) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">came up with two on and delivered a two run single to cut the deficit to 3-2. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Woodchucks would hit a two run homerun the next inning to take the lead 5-2. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Max Downs (Saint Xavier) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">came around to score on an error by the Woodchucks to cut the deficit to 5-3. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Cam McMillan (Vanderbilt) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">got an RBI on a fielders choice and made it 5-4. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Andrew Bullock (Western Carolina) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in a pinch hit situation would deliver an RBI single to tie the game 5-5. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Kellen Sarver (Illinois) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">would follow Bullock with an RBI single to take the lead 6-5. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Downs would add another RBI single to make it 8-5. (Error scored the extra run)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Nathan Thomas (Northern Illinois) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">came in for the six out save and delivered. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Notable Performers<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Jack Lombardi (Nebraska Omaha) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reached base four times on the night. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bullock delivered in the clutch with a game tying single. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sarver went 2-5 with an RBI. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Downs 3-5 with an RBI and two runs. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Zeb Adreon (Iowa) <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reached base three times and scored twice. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Schleusner was 2-4 with two RBI and was HBP twice. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Next Up<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dock Spiders play a day night doubleheader tomorrow morning against the Lakeshore Chinooks. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">First game\/first pitch scheduled for 11:35 AM CST.
