{"id":2786,"date":"2019-06-23T10:03:56","date_gmt":"2019-06-23T15:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/fond-du-lac-dock-spiders\/?p=2786"},"modified":"2019-06-24T10:09:51","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T15:09:51","slug":"dock-spiders-get-back-in-the-win-column","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/fond-du-lac-dock-spiders\/2019\/06\/23\/dock-spiders-get-back-in-the-win-column\/","title":{"rendered":"Dock Spiders Get Back in the Win Column"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FOND DU LAC, WI&#8211; The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (12-13) and the Green Bay Booyah (13-13) battled tonight and the Dock Spiders took home the win to end their losing streak. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It wasn\u2019t a promising start for the Dock Spiders as the Booyah jumped out to a 2-0 in the first two innings. <\/span><b>Jon Young (Indiana Wesleyan) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">got his first start and allowed three runs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The bats got the timely hits and some timely mistakes by the Booyah helped tack on the runs. <\/span><b>Luke Robinson (Western Carolina) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">delivered an RBI double in the second to answer back at the Booyah. After a throwing error, Robinson and <\/span><b>Charlie Maxwell (Northwestern) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">would come around to score.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Booyah would answer and tie the game in the third at 3-3. A Maxwell sac fly would give the Dock Spiders the lead in the fourth and they would not look back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Cam McMillan (Vanderbilt) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">would come around and score on a passed ball after his lead off single. <\/span><b>Zack Prajzner (Notre Dame) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">delivered an RBI single in the eighth and another throwing error by the Booyah would score another run off the play.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Dock Spiders would get the win at 7-3. <\/span><b>Bubba Horton (Minnesota) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">came in for three innings of relief. Only allowed one hit in the 11 batters he faced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Maxwell Cioffi (Mississippi) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">made his debut and shut the door to secure the win in the ninth. The Dock Spiders get in the win column and need to continue this for a shot at first place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Dock Spiders go to Green Bay for a 1:35 PM CST first pitch tomorrow. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
