It was an offensive outburst for 18 runs by the Dock Spiders. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Jon Young (Indiana Wesleyan) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">got the start and he got a lot of run support, but really he only needed one run. He would go five and two-thirds of shutout baseball. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a scoreless first inning, the Dock Spiders erupted for seven runs in the second. <\/span><b>Duncan Hunter (Jacksonville) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">got it going with an RBI single. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Rafters would walk in a run and <\/span><b>Tate Kolwyck (Vanderbilt) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">would drive in a run. <\/span><b>Tim Elko (Mississippi) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">would send one deep for a grand slam to cap off a seven run inning. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The offense wasn\u2019t done there, they would score three runs in third, which was capped off by a <\/span><b>Zeb Adreon (Iowa) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">two-run home run. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Dock Spiders 10 run lead wasn\u2019t enough as they would throw four more runs on the board in the fifth. A solo shot by Kolwyck would get the offense going. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Kellen Sarver (Illinois) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and Hunter would drive in runs themselves. The Rafters would walk in the 14th run of the night. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another home run by Elko would make it 15-0 in the seventh. The Rafters would score four runs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Dock Spiders bats were still hot in the ninth after another three runs came across. <\/span><b>Otto Grimm (Minnesota) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">drove in a run. <\/span><b>Charlie Maxwell (Northwestern) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">drove two home on a double. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All nine batters recorded a hit. Eight of the nine recorded two or more hits. Grimm reached base every time he was at the plate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elko\u2019s grand slam was the second for the Dock Spiders of the year. The Dock Spiders hit the road tomorrow night at Madison. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first pitch will be 6:35 PM CST. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
