MADISON, WI\u2014 The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders improve to eight wins in a row as they blow out the Madison Mallards 13-5. It was an offensive assault tonight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It all started with six runs coming across in the first inning. A two run double by <\/span>Tate Kolwyck (Vanderbilt) <\/b>would get them on the board first.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then it was <\/span>Zeb Adreon (Iowa) <\/b>with the RBI single to make it 3-0. <\/span>Ryan Sepede (BYU) <\/b>delivered his own RBI single after Kolwyck scored on a passed ball.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A <\/span>Charlie Maxwell (Northwestern) <\/b>sacrifice fly would complete the six run inning. The Mallards wouldn\u2019t go quietly as they would slowly creep back into the game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

They went as far as cutting the deficit all the way down to two going into the seventh inning. Then it was Kolwyck with a crushing two-run homerun to make it 9-5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A four run eighth inning would just be the final dagger in the Mallards. Adreon would get another RBI single to make it 10-5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then a three-run homerun by Sepede would make it 13-5. And the Dock Spiders <\/span>Evan Sankey (North Dakota St.) <\/b>and <\/span>Brock Weirather (Grinnell) <\/b>would work in tandem off the mound in completing the victory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Dock Spiders sit a half game back of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. It all comes down to tomorrow. A Dock Spiders win and Rafters loss seals the deal for the Dock Spiders playoff hopes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We need the \u201cFondy Faithfuls\u201d to come out in full force for the final regular season game of the season. First pitch against the Mallards is set for 1:05.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
