FOND DU LAC, WI \u2013 Finally!\u00a0 Some good news!\u00a0 The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders will begin play for the 2020 season on Wednesday, July 1.\u00a0 The Dock Spiders will be a part of the Wisconsin-Illinois Pod featuring the Green Bay Booyah, La Crosse Loggers, Rockford Rivets, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, and the Wisconsin Woodchucks.\u00a0 The 2020 season will run from July 1st through August 20th and will be capped with a two-day, pod playoff series.\u00a0 With additional teams in the region still working through the possibility of opening later in July, this \u201cpod\u201d could expand before the season\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

2020 Schedule (First Two Weeks)<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Two of the most popular Daily Promotions will be returning for 2020.\u00a0 Bang for Buck Night is back for every Tuesday home game this year with 107.1 The Bull.\u00a0 Sheboygan hot dogs and Brew Pub pizza slices will be available for $1.00 and 16oz domestic beers will be available for $2.00.\u00a0 Craft Brews and Brats is returning to Thursdays this year as well with 96.1 The Rock.\u00a0 Each Thursday will feature 12oz craft beer and Johnsonville brats for $2.00.<\/p>\n

Single-game tickets for the first two weeks of the season will go on sale Wednesday, June 17th<\/sup> at 11:00 AM.\u00a0 Fans will have the opportunity to purchase over the phone at (920) 907-9833, or online at www.dockspiders.com<\/a>.\u00a0 All tickets will be e-mailed to fans to use on the day-of-game.\u00a0 Due to the capacity and social distancing guidelines, single-game tickets will be very limited for all games, so it is recommended to purchase in advance for all games.\u00a0 Box seats and seating at picnic tables in our normal group areas will be $12.00.<\/p>\n

All 2020 vouchers can be redeemed for tickets by calling the Dock Spiders ticket office from 9 AM-5 PM Monday through Friday.\u00a0 Vouchers for this season can be used for games this summer or they can be carried over and used for the 2021 season as well.<\/p>\n

To ensure the safety of all fans, staff, and players, new guidelines have been established for Marian University\u2019s Herr-Baker Field.\u00a0 These guidelines include cleaning and social distancing protocols.\u00a0 Capacity will be 25% of the normal stadium capacity and all family groups will be seated at least six feet away from other families\/individuals.\u00a0 The Dock Spiders have created a Smart Start Plan for the planned reopening of games that can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to get baseball back to Fond du Lac this summer, and we are determined to create a safe place for fans to watch baseball in 2020.\u201d, said Chris Ward, the General Manager for the Dock Spiders. \u201cWhile we will be limited to a small number of fans in attendance for our home games, we know the community and Fondy Faithful fanbase will support the team all summer long.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we are all excited to see baseball coming back, we also take very seriously our role in the greater Fond du Lac community to not only welcome fans back safely, but to be a part of the process of helping get this community back to some sense of normalcy, both physically and mentally,\u201d added Dock Spiders Team President Rob Zerjav.<\/p>\n

Fans who have purchased season ticket packages and mini-plans have been contacted by the Dock Spiders front office to coordinate tickets for new games.<\/p>\n

The \u201cRoad to the Show\u201d game originally scheduled to take place in Appleton at Neuroscience Group Field has been canceled for the 2020 season.\u00a0 Ticket representatives will be in touch with individuals who purchased tickets for that game soon.<\/p>\n

The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players.
