\n\tWISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI- The Dock Spiders looked to be on their way to a 3rd straight victory after leading 5-0 through 2 innings, but Wisconsin Rapids rattled off 13 unanswered runs over the final 6 innings. \n<\/div>\n

\n\tRafters starting pitcher TJ Fetters (DMACC) was chased after the first inning for throwing more than 35 pitches. The 5-0 run over the first 2 innings for the Dock Spiders was capped off by a 2-run home by Eric Gilgenbach (Notre Dame). The 2nd straight game in which Gilgenbach homered. After the 2nd inning, the Dock Spiders were held scoreless with only 3 hits. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the other side of the field, the Rafters offense sprung to life with a 4 run 3rd inning and didn't slow down. The Rafters scratched runs across in every inning from the 5th to the 8th, including 3 multiple run innings. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tEvery Rafter in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit, and 5 players had multiple hit games, but Nick Owens (St. Johns River State) was the catalyst for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He went 3-3 with 2 doubles, 1 walk, 2 sacrifice flies and 4 RBI's. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Dock Spiders fall to 2-2 on the year, while the Rafters improve to 3-1 and 3-0 at home for the first time in team history.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWausau, Wisconsin is the next destination for the Dock Spiders to play the Wisconsin Woodchucks (1-3). No starter has been announced for the Dock Spiders. \n<\/p>\n
