The Northwoods League Softball team coming to Grand Forks will officially unveil its team name, logo, and colors on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tuesday, November 11th at 6:30 PM at Frederick D. Pollard Jr Athletic Center. The<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> event is free and open to the public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The reveal follows months of community engagement through the Team Name Contest, presented by Farmers Union Insurance. The public submitted hundreds of great ideas highlighting our community\u2019s history, values, and identity. The front office has been blown away by the incredible support and excitement for the six finalist names during the voting phase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The finalists include: Flying Aces, Spitfires, Spudniks, Sweet Beets, Voodo, and Wingnuts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIts\u2019 been extremely exciting to see the passion, creativity, and community pride shown throughout this process,\u201d General Manager Roberto Lemus said. \u201cFrom the very beginning, our goal was to build something that truly represents Grand Forks and the sport of softball.
