Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Green Bay Booyah have announced the addition of two infielders by signing third baseman, Jacob Buchberger (Davenport) and shortstop, Walker Jenkins (Madison)

Buchberger, a 6-foot-2, junior out of Montague, Michigan has been great at the plate for Davenport. Right now he is hitting .352 with two doubles, three triples, and three home runs. He is great at putting the ball in play as he only has struck out six times compared to his nine walks. Buchberger is also a major threat on the bases as he currently is a perfect 10-10 on stolen base attempts. Last year as a sophomore he hit .359 and scored 33 runs while hitting eight doubles, four triples, and six home runs. Davenport will take on Aquinas College tonight in Caledonia, Michigan.

Jenkins, a 5-foot-11, sophomore from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, has been the starting shortstop for Madison College the last year plus. Through his first 11 games he is hitting .278 with a .372 OBP. Jenkins loves to steal bases as he is a perfect 7-7 on attempts already. As a freshman, Jenkins hit .372 while going 41 for 121 with a .450 OBP. He also compiled 28 RBI and 40 runs as a freshman for Madison College. Madison College will take on Kishwaukee College on Wednesday March 27th.

The Green Bay Booyah open up the season on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:05 in Traverse City, Michigan. Capital Credit Union Park will host the first Booyah home game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on Saturday June 1st at 7:05.
