Kalamazoo, MI– On an offensive outburst on fireworks night in Kalamazoo, Green Bay dominated from start to finish, giving the Booyah their third straight victory.

 

Matt McDonald and Mike Ferri were the offensive stars of the night, with both of them combining for three home runs and six RBIs. McDonald finished the day 2-6, with two home runs and a total of three RBIs. For Ferri, he was the first EVER to hit a home run in a Green Bay uniform. Ferri finished with one home run and three RBIs.

 

On the mound, Will Saxton pitched five spectacular innings in his first career start. Saxton only allowed one earned run on the day, striking out four batters. Logan Lee came in relief for three innings, striking out six batters he faced, and allowing two runs. Overall, the Green Bay pitchers allowed three earned runs, struck out 11 hitters, and only walked three.

 

Green Bay is now 3-1 on the season, finishing this road stand on a high note. The Booyah have now won three consecutive games for the first time since July of 2017.

 

Green Bay comes home for the first time this season to open brand-new Capital Credit Union Park. Luke Wallner takes the mound as a starter for the first time this season, looking to give the Booyah faithful a home opening win.
