Booyah Release Full 2019 Promotional Schedule

NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Framer, Rocky Bal-Booyah Boxer Bobblehead giveaway, former Brewer Gorman Thomas, Sandlot Night, and Field of Dreams Night highlight the Booyah’s jam-packed promo schedule.

 

Ashwaubenon, Wis.- The Booyah are starting their inaugural season in 2019, and it will be one to remember! Over the past three weeks, the Booyah have been rolling out ticket specials for celebrity appearances, bobbleheads, and fun theme nights. Today, the team announced their full promotional schedule for the 2019 season.

 

“Our promotional schedule this year is one that incorporates something for everyone.” Said GM Sieeria Vieaux. “Being the first year at Capital Credit Union Park, it was crucial for us to pack this promotional schedule with unique and fun promotions specific to the community. From entertaining acts, to celebrity appearances from Wisconsin’s finest athletes, to unique and fun bobbleheads, this summer at Capital Credit Union Park will be one to remember!”

 

Opening Week

Opening Day is Capital Credit Union Night on Saturday, June 1st at 7:05 p.m. against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The first fans through the gate will receive a commemorative ticket. Fans can come enjoy pre-game festivities starting at 6:05 p.m. Following the home opener there will be postgame fireworks. Sunday, June 2nd is a magnet schedule giveaway and will feature the ZOOperstars! during the game. On Tuesday, June 4th the Booyah celebrate National Cheese Day with a salute to cheese heads. All fans wearing cheese head gear will receive half priced cheese curds and cheeseburgers. Friday, June 7th is 90’s Night presented by Aunt Ethel’s. 90’s Night features a retro Booyah jersey auction and is also Teacher Appreciation Night.

 

Bobbleheads

The Booyah have four bobblehead nights for 2019 season. The first bobblehead giveaway is on Thursday, June 13thwhere Festival Foods presents Rocky Bal-Booyah Bobblehead giveaway. All package ticket holders, as well as the first fans in attendance, will receive a bobblehead of Rocky Bal-Booyah decked out in his Booyah gear. The next bobblehead night is on Friday, June 21st. Pepsi presents Star Wars Night with a Rocky Trooper Bobblehead giveaway. This bobbblehead consists of Rocky Bal-Booyah dressed as a Star Wars Trooper. On Friday, July 5th WFRV-TV presents All-Star Mitch Haniger Bobblehead giveaway. Mitch Haniger is a previous Green Bay Northwoods League player who is currently a MLB All-Star for the Seattle Mariners. The following day is our final bobblehead night of the summer.  Saturday, July 6th, Budweiser presents Rocky Bal-Booyah Boxer Bobblehead giveaway. This night also features a guest appearance by Ricky Steamboat. Package ticket holders and the first fans in attendance will receive a Rocky Bobblehead dressed as an elite boxer.

 

Fireworks

This season will feature 7 firework shows to dazzle fans. The Booyah will start off their season with Capital Credit Union Opening Night and a postgame firework show on Saturday, June 1st. The second fireworks show falls on Friday, June 14th which is Scout Night featuring Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act. The third fireworks night of the season will be Saturday, June 29th. Kicking off the Independence Day festivities, we will have a postgame firework show on Wednesday, July 3rd. The fifth fireworks show of the summer is on Saturday, July 27th. This also falls on Christmas in July with a Snow Globe giveaway. Our sixth fireworks show of the summer and our first game in August is on Friday August 2nd. Our final firework show of the summer is presented by Pepsi. This show is on August 9th and is paired with a ZOOperstars! performance.

 

Celebrity Appearances

The celebrity appearances start with newly inducted NFL Hall of Famer and Packers Legend, Jerry Kramer coming to Capital Credit Union Park on Thursday, June 27th presented by Gandrud Auto Group. Kramer spent 10 years with the Packers, where he was a 5-time Champion. That includes Super Bowl I and II. As a Packer, Kramer received many individual awards such as 5-time NFL All-Pro, 3-time NFL Pro Bowler, and named to NFL’s all 1960’s Decade Team, Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, and NFL Hall of Famer. On Saturday, July 6th Budweiser presents Rocky Bal-Booyah Boxer Bobblehead giveaway. Along with this is a guest appearance by Ricky Steamboat.Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is a retired American professional wrestler. During his career, Steamboat wrestled in the American Wrestling Association, Jim Crocket Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, and the World Wrestling Federation. Steamboat won many championships and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009. Storming in for our third appearance of the summer on Friday, July 12th is former Brewers All-Star Gorman Thomas. Gorman Thomas spent 11 seasons with the Brewers organization. He was an important component of “Harvey’s Wallbangers”, the Brewers 1982 World Series team. During the 1982 season, Thomas his 29 home runs and tied for the league lead with Reggie Jackson. Thomas also had 268 homers and hit over 30 home runs five times throughout his career. Capital Credit Union Park will be welcoming Gorman Thomas on #Sconnie Sports Night where fans can wear their team gear and be entered into a drawing to win memorabilia. The next celebrity appearance is on Sunday, July 21st for Sandlot Night presented by Auto Select. This night includes guest appearance by Scotty “Smalls” and Tommy “Repeat” Timmons. Known from their outstanding roles in the movie The Sandlot, the two actors will be available to take pictures, sign autographs, and hangout at the Booyah Game on July 21st. Our final celebrity appearance of the summer falls on our Field of Dreams Night. Sunday, August 4th, actor Dwier Brown, who is best known for his role as “John Kinsella” in the famous movie. Kinsella was the father of Kevin Costner’s character, “Ray Kinsella”, and is famously recognized for appearing in the scene when Costner asks, “Hey Dad, you wanna have a catch?” Not only will Brown will be on hand to sign autographs, take photos, and throw out a first pitch, but he’ll also be available for a game of catch with all fans after the game.

 

Entertainment Acts

This season the Booyah have some awesome entertainment acts coming to Capital Credit Union Park. The first performance of the summer is by the ZOOperstars! on Sunday, June 2nd.  The ZOOperstars have traveled to any and all sporting events around the country. They are the perfect entertainment act for fans of all ages. Harry Canary, Whale Gretzky, and Tiger Woodschuck are some of the infamous ZOOperstars coming to Capital Credit Union Park. The next entertainment act of the summer is Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act. Tyler has been featured on America’s Got Talent, ESPN, and halftime shows across the country. Give him anything and he can balance it on his face! He will be at the ballpark on Friday, June 14thh for Scout Night and postgame fireworks. Following Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act, the Inflatamaniacs will be at the ballpark on Saturday, June 29th The Inflatamaniacs have traveled the country performing in front of crowds with their four characters, Hollywood, Ice, G Money, and Munchie. The Inflatamaniacs dance, do tricks, and even make a joke or two. They’re definitely not an act you want to miss. Our final entertainment act of the summer is a returning act. The ZOOperstars! will be back to Capital Credit Union Park on August 9th. Following their act will be postgame fireworks presented by Pepsi.

 

Jersey Auction Nights

For the inaugural season, the Booyah are pulling out some unique and special alternate jerseys. This season will feature three alternate jerseys. The first alternate jersey will be on 90’s Night presented by Aunt Ethel’s on Friday, June 8th. The game worn retro Booyah jersey will be auctioned off after the game. Tuesday, June 11th is Protective Services Night presented by Brew Pub Pizza. There will be a Fire and Police jersey auction to benefit the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial. This night also features a Protective Service Badge giveaway for children 12 and under. Our final alternate jersey will be on our Military Appreciation Day presented by Asphalt Seal & Repair on Sunday, June 30th. Fans were asked to send photos in of their friends and family in uniform as inspiration for this special day. Those photos were placed on our alternate jersey that will be worn on this day. Following the game there will be a Salute to Service Jersey auction to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

 

Theme Nights and Giveaways

As if Opening Day won’t be memorable enough, why not give the fans something they’ll get to keep forever? Capital Credit Union Opening Day on Saturday, June 1st will feature a commemorative ticket giveaway. June 2nd will feature a magnet schedule giveaway, which is perfect to keep on your fridge! June 4th is a Wisconsin favorite. Salute to Cheese heads on National Cheese Day! All fans that wear cheese head gear will receive half priced cheese curds and cheeseburgers. Later that weekend Aurora Baycare Medical Center presents Strikeout Stroke Day. June 9th will also feature postgame BP to benefit the Green Bay Area Stroke Fund. Who doesn’t love Booyah soup? June 10th is Booyah it’s Monday Day where all fans in attendance receive a free cup of Chef’s Special Booyah! June 18th is Bark in the Park with a Pet Bowl giveaway. There will also be a chance to win cash prizes up to $100 with a purchase of a hot dog. The following day is Chicken Appreciation Night. On June 19th, no chicken will be served per Rocky’s request. Also, on that night fans who eat a spider will receive an upgrade to the Bud Light Bleachers. June 23rd is Princess Day with a tiara giveaway. There will also be a pregame tea party with a princess parade. June 25th is Kids and Senior Citizen Day. Fans are encouraged to play hooky from work and enjoy a lunch special for the morning game. For the afternoon game, it’s Twins Day! Any set of twins or multiples gets 2-for-1 tickets. On top of that, one lucky set of twins will win two season tickets to the remainder of the 2019 season. On July 8th the Booyah are hosting Autism Awareness Night. There will be sensory friendly games played on the field between every half inning as well as designated quiet area accommodations.  The following day, July 9th is Booyah baseball card giveaway presented by Robinson Heating & Cooling. July 10th is Booyah Kettle Hat giveaway, which fans won’t want to miss! The following week, July 21st the Booyah have their kettle toothbrush holder giveaway. July 22nd is #MilennialMonday, where fans have to follow the Booyah social media platforms for special offerings throughout the game. Put your Christmas gear on for Saturday, July 27th, because it’s Christmas in July! This night features a snow globe giveaway and postgame fireworks. July 31st is our annual Back to School Night with a lunch bag giveaway presented by TEAM Apparel. Mark your calendars for August 3rd, as it’s a Team Poster giveaway presented by Kwik Trip. The final regular season game of the season is August 11th, which is Capital Credit Union Fan Appreciation Night with a coin bank giveaway. Following the game will be a postgame money drop as well.
