Ashwaubenon, WI –   The Green Bay Booyah starting third baseman Jacob Buchberger has been named to the 2019 MLDS roster to represent the Booyah.

 

So far this season, Buchberger is hitting .239 with three home runs and 20 RBIs for Green Bay. He also leads the team in stolen bases with eight and has made three scoreless appearances out of the bullpen this year for the Booyah.

 

At Davenport this past season, Buchberger hit .429 with eight home runs and 22 RBIs. Buchberger picked up a hit in 39 of his 46 games with the Panthers in 2019. As far as awards go, Buchberger was named the 2019 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, and was a Third Team All-American. The Montague, MI native was also an All-State player in high school for three years.

 

The MLDS takes place on Tuesday, August 6th at Warner Park in Madison. Buchberger will join 99 other players from the Northwoods League in participating in drills and two live games in front of scouts from Major League teams. Proceeds from the MLDS will benefit the Northwoods League Foundation.
