Mequon, WI –   The Green Bay Booyah relied heavily on the back end of their rotation on Friday night as Green Bay defeated Lakeshore 7-3.

 

Green Bay offensively scored five runs throughout the course of the first four innings. In the first inning, Cooper Morrison got on after being hit by a pitch on the first pitch of the day. After Morrison advanced to second and third on back to back at-bats, Blaise Maris drove the ball back up the middle to give Green Bay a 1-0 lead. The Booyah never trailed against the Chinooks on Friday night.

 

Maris led the way at the plate for the Booyah by going 2-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Jacob Buchberger picked up his third triple of the season in the seventh inning, and finished the day 2-5 with a run scored. Morrison also picked up a hit today, and scored twice for Green Bay.

 

On the mound, Logan Lee and Jacob Paulishak were dominant out of the bullpen for Green Bay. Lee finished the day after 2.2 innings, allowing three hits and striking out four batters. In his relief effort, Lee picked up the win for Green Bay, his first of the season. Paulishak dazzled batters on Friday night in his three innings of work as he gave up just two hits and struck out two. For his three innings of work, Paulishak earned the save, his first of the year.

 

Green Bay heads back home for the first time in four days tomorrow as they take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks for the first time in the second half. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m., and Garrett Martin is the scheduled pitcher for Green Bay.
