Johnson named Assistant GM-Tickets; Richmond and Garcia join staff

Ashwaubenon, Wis. – With Opening Day at Capital Credit Union Park approaching quickly for the Booyah and Voyageurs, the teams have announced a promotion and two additions to the front office staff.  Andrew Johnson, who spent last season in the role of Corporate Accounts & Fan Experience Manager, has been named Assistant General Manager-Tickets. In addition, Michael Richmond has been named Assistant General Manager of the Voyageurs soccer team and lead Inside Sales Representative for the Booyah. The team has also hired Nick Garcia as a Group Accounts Manager.

“Since joining the organization, Andrew’s responsibilities have continually evolved and expanded over the past year,” said Booyah Vice President John Fanta. “I look forward to having him continue to contribute to our success and am extremely excited about adding Michael to the team and welcoming Nick back into the fold.”

Johnson began his Booyah tenure in December of 2018 handling corporate ticket sales and making sure every fan had a great experience at Capital Credit Union Park. Prior to joining the Booyah, Johnson worked as a Regional Account Manager for Veolia Environmental Services. Managing a 13-state territory, Johnson frequently attended major and minor league ballparks while on the road, and ultimately wanted to make life at the ballpark a career. He is a native of Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

Michael Richmond joins the front office staff after spending the past four seasons with the Madison Mallards and Forward Madison FC. Richmond began his Mallards tenure in 2016 as an Inside Ticket Sales Representative and worked with a wide variety of groups and season ticket holders during his time there.  He began his career interning with the Green Bay Blizzard as a game day intern in 2013 and received a degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay that same year.  After graduating he spent a year with the Beloit Snappers working in Ticket Operations before joining Madison. He is a native of Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Nick Garcia returns in a full-time capacity after spending the inaugural season at Capital Credit Union Park as an operations and hospitality intern.  He recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Business Administration. While attending college he was a captain of the men’s swim & dive team while also serving as Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and President of Colleges Against Cancer organization. He is a native of Minocqua, Wisconsin.
