Ashwaubenon, WI – The Green Bay Booyah lit up the scoreboard on a rainy Thursday night as they defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 10-8 in seven innings.

The scoring for the Booyah started in the second inning when Matt McDonald picked up his first RBI of the year on a single to plate Alec Burns. In the next at-bat, Cam Tilly brought home Andy Blake to draw the Booyah even with the Dock Spiders in the second.

The scoring went back-and-forth for the next few innings, with the game eventually being tied at eight entering the bottom of the sixth. In the sixth, Northwestern’s Stephen Hrustich sent a ball deep down the right field line, just staying fair, and putting the Booyah up 10-8. The home run was Hrustich’s second in as many days, and put the Booyah up for good. Hrustitch finished the day by going 2-3 with four runs driven in.

In total, Green Bay picked up 10 hits on Thursday night, including a 3-for-4 day by Columbia freshman Andy Blake. Nadir Lewis also added to the run total by homering to lead off the third inning, his first of the season.

On the mound, Chandler Ingram earned the victory after going two innings, and giving up no earned runs. Ingram improved his total on the season to 1-1, and struck out three Dock Spiders. The two teams meet again tomorrow at 6:35 in Fond du Lac, with Garrett Martin toeing the rubber for the second time this season.
