The Green Bay Booyah Baseball Club announced the name and look of their mascot, Rocky Bal-Booyah, on Saturday, April 13th 2019 at the Ashwaubenon Branch of the Brown County Library.

Wearing a brand new Booyah baseball home jersey, Rocky Bal-Booyah was greeted by fans for the first time. Rocky took part in arts and crafts with fans, colored with kids, took photos with all of his new friends, partook in story time, and gave out samples of Booyah.

The name Rocky Bal-Booyah originated from a suggested fun, play on words from the name of the famous boxer, Rocky Balboa, of the Rocky film series. Balboa’s fierce, strong, and courageous personality in the series was one of the deciding factors in naming the Booyah mascot after him. Adding lib to the name Rocky Balboa to make it Rocky Bal-Booyah was also a fun way to incorporate the new team name into his identity.
