Frogs on Road for Final Time

The season is coming to a winding end here in the Northwood League. The Green Bay Bullfrogs are on the road for the last time this season as they travel to Fond du Lac for a game before heading back home tomorrow for a doubleheader to close the year. The Bullfrogs come into the game on a three game losing streak after being swept by the Kalamazoo Growlers at home yesterday in being shut out in both games of the doubleheader. The Frogs sit at 11-23 on the second half of the season and 23-46 for the year. The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are on a three-game winning streak and sit at 35-34 and 19-14.

The Bullfrogs last night were shut out 7-0 and 5-0 in yesterday’s doubleheader. The Frogs season series with the Growlers moved to 5-3 as the Bullfrogs were unable to manage the split losing five in a row to Kalamazoo. The Bullfrogs are currently 2-3 against the Dock Spiders this year.

Last night’s Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Player of the night was Mikey Filia. Filia broke up a no-hitter and manage to steal a base in the 5-0 loss. Filia’s stat line: 1-2, 1 BB, 1 SB.

Jared Tobey of Wayne State University is on the mound tonight for the Bullfrogs. Tobey has currently posted a 5.46 ERA thrown 41 strikeouts and has posted a 3-6 record.
