Director of Stadium Operations

Big Top Baseball, the premiere summer collegiate baseball ownership group, is looking to hire a Director of Stadium Operations responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and quality of Capital Credit Union Park. This position is based in Green Bay and will work out of the Green Bay office. The Director of Operations will be required to work all 46 Green Bay home games and special events.

This position is a fit for an individual looking to operate a brand new facility with the ability to host baseball, soccer, and community events. The facility will have a capacity of 3,359 for athletic events, 7,000+ for concerts and community events and will feature a club and suite space for up to 300 guests. The ideal candidate is organized, hard-working, and dedicated to creating a world class fan experience at Capital Credit Union Park.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the ballpark throughout the season including management of the stadium cleaning crew and maintenance of the playing surface at Capital Credit Union Park. Director of Operations would also be responsible for selling field rentals and running any event at the stadium.

Expectations:

  • To work all baseball and soccer home games as well as special events
  • Manage full time, seasonal, and intern staff in ballpark projects and clean-up
  • Complete walkthroughs with the GM and AGM to compile lists of projects to complete
  • Focus on teaching and managing on each project
  • Includes cleaning up each project and locking up all facilities each day
  • Learning the ins and outs of the ballpark and how it operates, including fire protection, garbage removal, etc
  • Maintain the playing surface at Capital Credit Union Park
  • Preparation of field for all pre-season events including high school games
  • Preparation of field for all Green Bay home games
  • Preparing and repairing turf for athletic and special events
  • Other duties as described by President, COO or General Manager

Group Accounts Manager 

Big Top Baseball, the premiere summer collegiate baseball ownership group, is looking to hire a Group Accounts Manager to work with area small businesses, bars, restaurants, and bachelor & bachelorette parties to find group outing solutions for the Green Bay Baseball Club.  The position will serve as an integral member of the Green Bay Baseball sales team. Big Top Baseball is the largest and most successful summer collegiate baseball ownership group in the nation attracting more than 500,000 fans in 2017.

Additional responsibilities include management of the box office in season and providing excellent customer service to patrons.

The Groups Account Manager is a full-time position that is within the ticket sales department of the Green Bay Baseball Club. Candidates must be available to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, occasional holidays and every game-day in-season. This position offers a monthly stipend plus an aggressive commission structure and health club membership.

Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Utilize sales techniques to sell ticketing inventory
  • Develop new sales leads and actively prospect daily
  • Record notes, set and complete daily tasks in Northwoods League CRM
  • Handle incoming sales calls for promotional ticket packages
  • Maintain call logs on daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide superior service to clients, existing ticket holders, prospects and single game customers
  • Upgrade and upsell clients into different categories and ticket packages
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
  • All other duties as assigned by Assistant General Manager

Qualification Standards:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college
  • Prior experience working in the sports industry is preferred
  • Prior telemarketing and/or sales experience is preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Highly motivated with a desire to meet and exceed stipulated goals
  • Customer service oriented
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Passionate about baseball and sports in general
