ASHWAUBENON, WI \u2013 January 27, 2020 \u2013<\/em><\/strong> Grammy Award-winning band Wilco<\/strong> and beloved roots band Trampled by Turtles <\/strong>will perform at Capital Credit Union Park on Friday, September 18, 2020. This is the first concert event announced at Capital Credit Union Park since the stadium opened on June 1, 2019.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 31 at 10 AM, and can be purchased in-person at the Capital Credit Union Park Box Office (2231 Holmgreen Way, Green Bay, WI 54304) or Ticketmaster.com.<\/p>\n

Wilco will kick off the 2020 North American run of their ODE TO JOY TOUR on March 9th<\/sup> at The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin. For more dates and show information, visit www.wilcoworld.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ODE TO JOY TOUR supports the band\u2019s latest studio album (their 11th<\/sup>, in fact), Ode to Joy<\/em>, released on October 4, 2019. On the heels of albums titled Schmilco <\/em>and Star Wars<\/em>, reappropriating the title of one of the most famous works of music in history is not lost on the band. \u201cI think it\u2019s audacious and sincere,\u201d Jeff Tweedy says. \u201cIt just kept coming back as the one title that felt honest. The record is, in a weird way, an ode; this terrible stuff is happening, this deepening sense of creeping authoritarianism that weighs on everybody\u2019s psyche on a daily basis, and you\u2019re allowed to feel a lot of things at once. And one thing that is worth feeling, that is worth fighting for, is your freedom to still have joy even though things are going to shit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trampled By Turtles are from Duluth, Minnesota where frontman Dave Simonett initially formed \u00a0the group as a side project in 2003. At the time, Simonett had lost most of his music gear, thanks to a group of enterprising car thieves who\u2019d ransacked his vehicle while he played a show with his previous band. Left with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, he began piecing together a new band, this time taking insipiration from bluegrass, folk, and other genres that didn’t rely on amplification. Trampled released their latest album Life Is Good On The Open Road<\/em> in 2018 followed by an all covers EP called Sigourney Fever<\/em> in late 2019.<\/p>\n

Trampled will kick off the year with a run of dates supported by Them Coulee Boys, starting on January 24th<\/sup> in Des Moines, IA and ending on February 1st<\/sup> in Louisville, KY. The band also recently announced a co-headlining Summer tour with American folk band, CAAMP. The Summer co-headling tour kicks off on July 16th at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This exciting announcement of Wilco and Trampled By Turtles coming to Capital Credit Union Park furthers our mission to bring the highest quality events to the Greater Green Bay Area,\u201d said John Fanta, Vice President Green Bay Booyah and Green Bay Voyageurs FC.<\/p>\n

This show announcement is an extension of FPC Live and Big Top Baseball\u2019s relationship at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, WI, which began in 2015 with a sold-out The Avett Brothers show. In years since, the organizations have worked to expand the series producing 16 concerts, and selling over 85,000 tickets. FPC Live, Wisconsin\u2019s largest concert promoter, alongside with their joint venture partner, Live Nation, produce nearly 550 events annually in Wisconsin, including the historical, sold-out Paul McCartney concert at Lambeau Field last year.<\/p>\n
