Pair from West Virginia joins five returners<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ashwaubenon, Wis. \u2013 <\/em>The Green Bay Booyah have announced the signing of West Virginia Mountaineers Tevin Tucker and Alec Burns who will join returning pitchers Chandler Ingram, Logan Lee, Jacob Paulishak, Dalton Wiggins, & infielder Zack Raabe on the 2020 team. The Booyah will continue to unveil the remainder of the roster each week leading up to Opening Day on May 28th<\/sup> against the Kokomo Jackrabbits.<\/p>\n

Up the middle, sophomore infielder Tevin Tucker joins the Booyah to help play alongside returner Zack Raabe. As a freshman, Tucker swatted 10 doubles while having an on base percentage at .365. The Prince George High School alum also swiped 19 bags during his freshman campaign and drove in 21 runs. The slick fielding shortstop has started all 12 games he has appeared in for the Mountaineers while stealing six bases in seven attempts this spring. Coming out of high school Tucker was ranked as the number two ranked shortstop in all of Virginia.<\/p>\n

The team has also signed, 6\u20194\u201d first baseman and outfielder Alec Burns to join his teammate in Green Bay this summer. Burns, a redshirt freshman, has appeared in seven games this spring while posting a .333 batting average. Last summer for the Adirondack Trail Blazers, Burns hit .292 with three home runs and 15 RBIs in 34 games.<\/p>\n

The Green Bay Booyah are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Having completed its\u2019 26th<\/sup> season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, over 230 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS), as well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and MLB All-Stars Jordan Zimmermann (DET) and Curtis Granderson (MIA).
