Kaukauna High School\u2019s Emme and Sussex Hamilton\u2019s Olejnik add speed to lineup<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ashwaubenon, Wis. \u2013 <\/em>The Green Bay Booyah continued to announce additions to the 2020 roster today with the signings of two Wisconsin natives, outfielders Grant Emme from Eastern Illinois and Ty Olejnik (OLE-nik) from UW-Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re extremely thrilled to add two local players with a tremendous amount of speed and versatility,\u201d said Booyah vice president John Fanta. \u201cOur fans are going to love the energy and athleticism that both of these guys will feature at Capital Credit Union Park this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grant Emme (Eastern Illinois)<\/p><\/div>\n

A graduate of nearby Kaukauna High School, 6\u20191\u201d sophomore Grant Emme had appeared in 14 games this spring before the college season was abruptly halted. There was a high expectation entering the 2020 season, as he was named to Collegiate Baseball\u2019s Freshman All-American Team his first year with the Panthers after appearing in 51 games and finishing the season with a .349 average to rank sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference. Emme added 12 doubles, four home runs, 30 RBIs and ranked seventh in the conference with 14 stolen bases. Emme is a native of Combined Locks, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

Ty Olejnik (UW-Milwaukee)<\/p><\/div>\n

The 6\u20193\u201d Olejnik began his college career at the University of Missouri before transferring to UW-Milwaukee where he was beginning his redshirt freshman year this spring. Prior to\u00a0 entering the college ranks, Olejnik was a standout athlete at Sussex Hamilton High School where he also ranked as one of the top track athletes in the state of Wisconsin, wrapping up his senior year as the WIAA Division 1 state champion in the long jump and claiming numerous conference\u00a0 titles in the 100 and 200-meter events. Olejnik is from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n
