The Rafters stayed hot at the plate, adding runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to build a commanding 8-2 lead before the game reached its halfway point. Rafters starter Trevor Moeck threw six innings with two earned runs and only three hits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Green Bay\u2019s offense came alive briefly in the third when Aidan Kuni launched a two-run home run\u2014his second long ball of the summer\u2014to bring the Rockers within three. But the Rafters kept the momentum, plating three more in the fifth to make it 11-2.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the seventh, the Rockers showed some late fight. Kasen Khansarinia scored on a sacrifice fly from Eric Jeon, and Collin Helms followed with an RBI single to bring home Kuni. That would be the last scoring of the night for either side.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Rockers will look to bounce back Saturday as they hit the road to continue the series in Wisconsin Rapids, with first pitch set for 3:05 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><i style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/i><\/h5>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">###<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Green Bay Rockers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, nearly 2400 NWL alums have been drafted and over 400 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (TOR), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford and World Series Champion Chris Sale (ATL). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2023 World Series Champion, MLB All-Star, MLB Gold Glove, two-time Silver Slugger winner and two-time All-MLB first team shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
