\n\tLakeshore would strike for the only run in the ballgame in the home half of inning number one. After a leadoff single and two stolen bags for Matthew Mika (Central Florida), right fielder Joe Duncan (Eastern Illinois) would plate Mika on an RBI fielder’s choice, 1-0 early in favor of the Chinooks.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe hometown guys would threaten again in the bottom of the second following a leadoff double for Jacob Richardson (Southern Arkansas). Effective pitching from Kalamazoo starter Connor Manous (Indiana) would hold the runner in Richardson at third, score remains 1-0 heading to the top of the third.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tManous would squeak out of a bases-loaded, nobody out situation in the third after catcher Nick Gatewood (Georgia State) grounded into a 1-2-3 double play. That’s Manous to Carpenter (USC Upstate) to Bigras (Boston College) to retire the side.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tConnor Manous would set down hometown Lakeshore 1-2-3 in both the 4th<\/sup> and the 5th<\/sup>, pitching effectively for a majority of the evening.\n<\/p>\n \n\tManous posted six strong innings, allowing one earned, and striking out five Chinooks batters.\n<\/p>\n \n\tHis opposition in Austin Jones went five, allowing no runs, giving up three hits on the night.\n<\/p>\n \n\tDrew Huff (Middle Tennessee State) went 2 for 3 for the Growlers with two singles.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe Growlers return home for Red, White, and BOOM! Night starting tomorrow night at 7:05 PM ET.
