\n\tKenosha, WI- In all too familiar fashion the Growlers drop a heart wrencher 13-11 at the hands of the Kingfish a team that Kzoo is now 1-6 against on the season.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tFast forward to the top of the sixth with Kalamazoo trailing 5-4. Ryan Orr (SDSU) led off the inning with a double, and Christian Moya (USC) was hit by a pitch in the head and was removed from the game. Christian walked off the field under his own power. Orr would score from third on a wild pitch after he and Stephen Dubb (USC) who came in to run for Moya were sac bunted over to second and third respectively by Jeff Riedel (Ball State), 5-5. Drew Huff (MTSU) would break the tie with an RBI single plating Dubb from third, 6-5 Growlers. Matt Koehler (Western Carolina) would rip a triple off the right field wall to extend the Kalamazoo lead to 7-5.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tTop 8 now with the Growlers clinging to a 7-6 lead. Dubb and Riedel both reached to start the inning, and with one out Huff stepped to the plate, and ripped an RBI double to score Dubb and make it 8-6 Growlers. Now with 2 outs, Huff at third, and Koehler at first after a fielder's choice that left Riedel gunner down at home plate. Ivan Estrella (UT Rio Grande Valley) drills a 2 out 2 RBI double into the right center field gap to make it 10-6 Kalamazoo. Mitch Bigras (Boston College) would drive in Estrella with a single to right and make it 11-6 Growlers.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThen came the bottom of the 8th. The Growlers would use three pitchers in the inning en route to allowing 7 runs. Jesse Wilkening (Nebraska) would tie it up at 11 with a sac fly, and Derrick Bangert (Bradley) dealt the finishing blow with a 2 RBI to make it 13-11 Kingfish.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe lights at Historic Simmons field went out in the top of the ninth with Ryan Orr standing at second with one out and Jeff Riedel at the plate. The whole system was rebooted and the lights came back on but the Growlers didn’t have enough juice in them to comeback. Final score 13-11 Kenosha. Kalamazoo has now dropped four straight following a six game winning streak. First pitch scheduled for 8:05 ET as the Growlers look to get back in the win column in game 4 of this 4 game home and home series with the Kingfish.\n<\/p>\n
