KALAMAZOO, MI<\/strong> –\u00a0The Kalamazoo Growlers announced today the signing of two freshmen from Fresno State University. The OnStaff Group Recruiting Trail presents Jamison Hill and Nikoh Mitchell as the latest additions to the 2018 roster.<\/span><\/p>\n

RHP – Jamison Hill | 6\u20191\u201d | R\/R | Freshman | Fresno State<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"Hill posted a 8-3 mark with a 1.62 ERA striking out 84 in 69.0 innings of work as a senior at Ranch Bernardo High School in 2017. He was a 2016 Perfect Game Underclass All-American and was ranked among the top 150 players in California by Perfect Game for the 2017 class. Hill posted a 3-3 mark on the mound as a junior in 2016 with a 2.14 ERA in nine appearances, seven starts, and had 29 strikeouts in 39.1 innings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The San Diego, Calif. Native\u2019s step-grandfather is Garry Templeton who was a 16-year MLB player for the St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres where he was a three-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger Award winner and a 2015 San Diego Padres Hall of Fame Inductee. Hill choose Fresno State because of its strong baseball program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mitchell was a four-year letter winner at Hayward High School in Hayward, Calif. and was named Hayward HS MVP two times, as well as team captain as a senior. He also earned two All-League honors in the West Alameda County Conference. The lefty posted a 2-3 mark as a senior with a 2.09 ERA tossing 47.0 innings striking out 84 and held opponents to a .183 average. He hit .425 from the plate as a senior with a 30 hits, 14 for extra-bases with nine doubles, four triples and one home run, adding 17 runs and 17 RBIs finishing with a \u00a0.519 on-base percentage and a .724 slugging percentage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nikoh has three siblings and enjoys playing basketball, golfing and fishing in his free time. He is a Sports Kinesiology major at Fresno State and chose the university because it is a great campus and he enjoys the heat.<\/span><\/p>\n
