The 19 walks delivered by Growlers pitching is the most in any Northwoods League game over the last 10 years, and broke the previous franchise record of 15 walks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sam Weatherly started the game for Kalamazoo, going three innings, allowing six runs, no hits, and walking 10. Relief pitchers Dakota Roberts, Bryce Welborn and Jared Miller combined for 9 walks and 6 runs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Wisconsin Rapids starter Trayson Kubo, a Northwoods League All-Star, was excellent in the win. Kubo pitched five innings without allowing a run, picking up his fourth win of the season.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Growlers have struggled mightily at Witter Field, losing their last three games at the venue, allowing 39 runs in those three losses. The Growlers suffered double-digit losses on back-to-back nights for the first time all season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Rafters had only scored 7 runs in their previous four games before scoring 25 in the two-game set versus Kalamazoo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A continuing bright spot for the Growlers is Jason Sullivan. The Growlers utility man extended his hit streak to 15 games with a double in the ninth inning and added to his positions played total. Sullivan filled in behind the plate in the later innings making catcher the fifth position played for Sullivan this season. Sullivan has pitched, played third base, second base, first base, and catcher in the 2018 season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Growlers six game road trip moves to Wausau as Kalamazoo is set to battle the Woodchucks at Athletic Park.
