KALAMAZOO, MI- <\/b>\u00a0The Kalamazoo Growlers are excited to welcome Jackson Kaplan and Bennett Wise to the Growlers media staff for the summer. Kaplan and Wise will serve as play-by-play announcer and color commentator for all home and road games this season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jackson Kaplan-<\/b>
\n<\/span>Kaplan is currently a senior communication studies major at the University of North\u00a0<\/span>Carolina at Charlotte with four years of radio\/TV play-by-play experience. <\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>He has served as the home play-by-play voice for the UNC Charlotte baseball program,\u00a0<\/span>along with broadcasting select games for Charlotte softball. In the fall sports season,\u00a0<\/span>Kaplan is a broadcaster for Charlotte volleyball and men\u2019s\/women\u2019s soccer. In addition,\u00a0<\/span>he called the entire Conference USA Men\u2019s Soccer Tournament on ESPN+ and the first\u00a0<\/span>round of the NCAA Tournament in November when Charlotte hosted both.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>This summer in Kalamazoo will be Kaplan\u2019s fourth year broadcasting in collegiate\u00a0<\/span>summer baseball and his second straight season in the Northwoods League. He was\u00a0<\/span>the play-by-play broadcaster for the Green Bay Bullfrogs in the 2018 season after spending the previous two summers broadcasting in the Coastal Plain League.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bennett Wise –<\/b><\/p>\n

Bennett Wise is a sophomore at Miami University (OH) double majoring in Journalism and Sport Leadership and Management (SLAM). He is a sideline reporter for Miami\u2019s ESPN telecasts of men\u2019s basketball, women\u2019s volleyball and women\u2019s basketball. He also serves as a play-by-play announcer for the Miami student radio station (RedHawk Radio) for Miami men\u2019s baseball. In addition, Bennett will be the sole announcer for Miami softball on MiamiRedHawks.com in the spring.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When he\u2019s not reporting on the various Miami sports teams, Bennett works as a camera operator for Miami\u2019s ESPN telecasts and video boards at Miami hockey and football games. He is excited to join the Growlers\u2019 organization and looks forward to a great summer of baseball.<\/span><\/p>\n
