Kalamazoo, MI — <\/span><\/i>Tuesday night\u2019s contest at Homer Stryker Field between the Kalamazoo Growlers (16-16) and Kenosha Kingfish (13-22) has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game was stopped in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Kingfish leading 1-0. Tonight\u2019s game will be resumed next Thursday, July 11 as part of a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. The contest will be resumed in the bottom of the fourth inning, while the second game will be seven innings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kenosha scratched across its lone run in the top of the second as Kingfish outfielder <\/span>Charles Middleton <\/b>stole home with two outs to take an early 1-0 advantage. Growlers starting pitcher <\/span>Brennan Cox <\/b>(Wayne State) tossed four strong innings, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Kalamazoo Growlers travel 30 minutes east tomorrow night for the sixth meeting of the 2019 I-94 Rivalry Series versus the Battle Creek Bombers. First pitch is slated for a 7:05 p.m. start.<\/span><\/p>\n
