Kalamazoo, Mich. \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Due to extreme flooding at Homer Stryker Field, Tuesday\u2019s doubleheader and Wednesday\u2019s game between the Kalamazoo Growlers and Kokomo Jackrabbits has been postponed.<\/p>\n

For the first time ever, the Kalamazoo Growlers are asking for support from the fans to help “Fight the Flood”. Homer Stryker Field has fell victim to severe flooding and the Growlers are asking fans to support the team by either donating to the Flood Cleanup GoFundMe or by purchasing tickets to the first game back from the Flood on Saturday, July 20th with the Fight the Flood Ticket Package.<\/p>\n

The Kalamazoo Growlers Flood Cleanup Fund donations will go towards draining and cleaning the ballpark, allowing the Growlers to continue the 2024 season. To donate to the Fund, fans can use the link below.<\/p>\n

Kalamazoo Growlers Flood Cleanup GoFundMe<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Each Fight the Flood ticket includes a ticket to the game with postgame fireworks, a Growlers Hat, and a free hot dog voucher. Fans can purchase these special tickets using the link below.<\/p>\n

July 20th “Fight the Flood” Ticket Package<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The Growlers will head to Kokomo tomorrow to play Tuesday\u2019s originally scheduled doubleheader. Game one will begin at 4:35 p.m. ET and will be resumed in the top of the fourth inning, a makeup from the June 8 rain out. Game two will begin 30 minutes after the end of game number one but not earlier than 7:05 p.m. The game will be seven innings.<\/p>\n

Wednesday\u2019s originally scheduled game at Homer Stryker Field will be moved to Friday, Aug. 9 and will be played as a doubleheader at Kokomo. Both games will be seven innings and game one will start at 5:05 p.m. Kokomo will be the home team in game one and Kalamazoo will be the home team in game two.<\/p>\n

Rule 4.08(a)(f )\u00a0When a rescheduled game is part of a doubleheader the rescheduled game shall be the second game, and the first game shall be the regularly scheduled game for that date.<\/p>\n
