Growlers Announce Complete 2025 Roster<\/p><\/h1><\/div>

Kalamazoo Has Returning Captains, Spring Stars and Local Talent <\/span><\/h3>\n

[KALAMAZOO, MI] – The defending Northwoods League Champion Kalamazoo Growlers have<\/span> reloaded their roster heading into 2025. Cody Piechocki\u2019s squad has signed plenty of proven leaders,<\/span> mixed with spring breakouts, and plenty of Kalamazoo talent presented by Sign Center.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Back in the \u2018Zoo<\/b> <\/b><\/p>\n

The Growlers roster is headlined by <\/span>Brody Acres <\/b>(Walsh), <\/span>Antonio Perrotta <\/b>(Virginia), <\/span>Gabe<\/b> Springer <\/b>(Stanford), and <\/span>Mike Sprockett <\/b>(Belmont), who all hold a Captain role for Kalamazoo<\/span> this upcoming season. <\/span>Acres <\/b>has excelled this spring for Walsh, hitting .326 with 39 RBIs and<\/span> 22 walks. On the pitching side, the Growlers retain <\/span>Brenden Burch <\/b>(Aquinas) and <\/span>Graham<\/b> Kollen <\/b>(Huntington).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Players to Watch<\/b> <\/b><\/p>\n

Valparaiso redshirt-freshman <\/span>Case Sullivan <\/b>began the collegiate season on a heater, hitting<\/span> .355 in his first 31 at-bats. While he hasn\u2019t kept that pace, <\/span>Sullivan <\/b>has continued to find ways<\/span> to get on base, holding a .330 on-base percentage. <\/span>Sullivan <\/b>will appear in the infield for<\/span> Kalamazoo.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Bryce Brassfield<\/b>,<\/span> who\u2019s also returning for the Growlers, is a name to watch out of the bullpen<\/span> in 2025. At Saint Cloud State, <\/span>Brassfield <\/b>has shown the ability to work deep into games, while<\/span> garnering swing-and-miss from his stuff. Through 66.1 IP in 2025, the Gilbert, Arizona, native<\/span> has accumulated 65 punchouts. With his strikeout ability, <\/span>Brassfield <\/b>could be a major weapon<\/span> for Piechocki\u2019s bullpen.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Hawai\u2019i corner outfielder <\/span>Will Bowen <\/b>was an exceptional JUCO player, batting .369 with 92<\/span> RBI\u2019s and 34 doubles in two seasons. Since becoming a Rainbow Warrior, <\/span>Bowen <\/b>has not had<\/span> extended run as an everyday player, but has continued to find ways to reach base, boasting an<\/span> on-base percentage of .389. <\/span>Bowen <\/b>will look to continue his success from JUCO in the<\/span> Growlers outfield.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps the best spring of any Growler was held by Southern University\u2019s <\/span>KJ White<\/b>.<\/span> The<\/span> shortstop holds a triple-slash of .351\/.482\/.396 scoring 49 runs for the Jaguars. <\/span>White <\/b>holds<\/span> elite zone control holding a 11-27 strikeout-walk ratio in the 2025 season. <\/span>White<\/b>\u2019s speed is also<\/span><\/p>\n

exceptional, going 26-31 on stolen-base attempts in the spring. <\/span>White <\/b>will attempt to continue<\/span> his stellar spring as a Growler.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Local Looks<\/b> <\/b><\/p>\n

The Growlers are proud to continue a strong history of local talent, with multiple local<\/span> Kalamazoo products on the squad. <\/span>Avery Thielman <\/b>is a corner infielder and will be a strong<\/span> piece of the Growlers infield. The Kalamazoo Central High School product now attends Western<\/span> Michigan University, and is in his Junior season. <\/span>Thielman <\/b>is batting .272 with 26 RBIs while<\/span> playing strong defense, holding a fielding percentage of .986.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Logan Lockhart <\/b>hails from Kalamazoo College and will be employed in the bullpen for the<\/span> Growlers this season. As a starter for K-College, <\/span>Lockhart <\/b>holds a 5-2 record with a 3.04 ERA<\/span> and 41 strikeouts in 53.1 innings pitched. His Kalamazoo College teammate, <\/span>Ben Van Nes<\/b>,<\/span> is<\/span> undefeated (3-0) this season in 16 appearances from the bullpen, with one start. <\/span>Van Nes <\/b>holds<\/span> a .205 batting average against in his 22.2 innings.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Jack Crittendon <\/b>comes to the Growlers from Kalamazoo Valley Community College,<\/span> possessing excellent swing and miss ability, boasting a K\/9 of 9.89 in 43.2 innings for the<\/span> Cougars. <\/span>Crittendon <\/b>started two games while picking up five saves and a overall 3-2 record in<\/span> his 2025 spring campaign.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
