\n\tKalamazoo, Mich.<\/strong> – The Kalamazoo Growlers will face off against the rival Battle Creek Bombers (1-1) tonight at 7:05 p.m. at C.O. Brown Stadium.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Growlers (1-1) are coming off yesterday’s doubleheader split against the defending Northwoods League Champion Madison Mallards. In game one, the Growlers committed four errors and surrendered eight walks as the Mallards cruised to a 6-2 victory. Catcher Brett Sunde knocked in the first RBI in Growler franchise history as the Growlers tacked on two runs in the top of the seventh, but the comeback fizzled. In game two, the Growlers exploded for six runs in the second inning, capped by shortstop John Rubino's three-run double, and defeated the Mallards to earn their first win in team history. Pitcher Donnie Eaton earned the win, going two innings allowing just one hit and striking out two. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Growlers' first home game of the year is on Friday, May 30 at Homer Stryker Field, when the Bombers come to Kalamazoo for the opener of a five game homestand for the Growlers.\n<\/p>\n
