\n\tKALAMAZOO, MI <\/strong>– T<\/span>he Kalamazoo Growlers would like to officially welcome Will DeBoer and Dan Wallace to the Growlers staff for the 2015 season. Both Will and Dan will be sharing play-by-play broadcasting roles for the Growlers radio broadcasts and live video streaming.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\"Screen\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWill comes from an impressive background and numerous years of broadcasting experience including his current position with the Columbus State Cougars, broadcasting for six of their Division II sports as he pursues his master's degree in public administration.<\/span>  A Hope College under<\/span>grad, Will has had his eyes set on a broadcasting career since high school.  He is no stranger to summer collegiate baseball as he spent the 2014 season as the voice of the DuPage County Hounds.  <\/span>"When I worked in another collegiate league last summer, my bosses always talked about the Northwoods League as the pinnacle of our level. Working for Northwoods is a wonderful opportunity, and returning to West Michigan for a summer is a dream," said DeBoer. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWill was also just named to a list of STAA's Top 20 collegiate-level broadcasters<\/a>.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\"Dan\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDan is entering his first season with the Kalamazoo Growlers and the Northwoods League. He is a recent graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications Media as well as a degree in History. While at IUP, Dan served a play-by play broadcaster and color commentator for IUP Men’s basketball on the university’s radio station, WIUP-FM. He was also a host for the stations sports talk show for two years and a producer and on-air talent for the IUP television station sports news program. During the 2014 season, Dan served as a production assistant with the Washington Wildthings of the Frontier League.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth Dan and Will are elated for what the 2015 season has in store.  Will added, "I am ready to bring Kalamazoo all the excitement of Growler baseball as they chase a Summer Collegiate World Series title."<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kalamazoo Growlers are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (BOS) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
