\n\tKALAMAZOO, MI – Homer Stryker Field, for the second night, saw the visiting team score double-digit runs as the Growlers lost to the Kenosha Kingfish 10-1.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt did not take long for the Kingfish (4-3) to score, but not from getting contact. Growlers (1-6) starting pitcher Ben Spieldenner (St.Joseph) walked four batters, and hit two batters, to aide the Kingfish to its first four runs in the contest in his two innings of pitching.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Growlers’ reliever TJ Cerven (KVCC) took the mound after the second inning, the game only further tipped towards the favor of the Kingfish as Kenosha tallied three runs in the fifth, one in the seventh and three in the eighth to reach the final score.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKenosha starting pitcher Josh Serio (UW-Parkside) blanked the Growlers through six innings with only allowing four hits and striking out nine.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tWith this loss, Kalamazoo remains in the cellar of the South Division for at least another day until the 11:05 a.m. start time on Tuesday for the Finale of its first homestand and Kenosha series. The stands at Homer Stryker Field will be filled with energetic elementary schoolers as it will be Education Day presented by Stryker.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
