{"id":6652,"date":"2015-08-31T17:53:37","date_gmt":"2015-08-31T17:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/kalamazoo-growlers\/?p=6652"},"modified":"2015-08-31T17:53:37","modified_gmt":"2015-08-31T17:53:37","slug":"northwoods-league-agrees-to-terms-offered-by-bismarck-nd-for-play-in-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/kalamazoo-growlers\/northwoods-league-agrees-to-terms-offered-by-bismarck-nd-for-play-in-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Northwoods League Agrees to terms offered by Bismarck, ND for play in 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">\n\t<span class=\"s1\">Rochester, MN &#8211; The Northwoods League has agreed to the terms offered by the Bismarck, ND Parks and Recreation District for an &ldquo;Agreement for Use&rdquo; allowing for League play beginning with the 2017 season at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n\t<span class=\"s1\">&nbsp;The ballpark Agreement is subject to the respective team or its affiliate completing a successful bid process for concessions operations at Municipal Ballpark and approval of the Agreement by the Parks and Recreation District Board at a meeting anticipated on October 15, 2015.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\n\t<span class=\"s1\">&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want to jump the gun, but the League is very excited after exhaustive negotiations with the Parks and Recreation District, culminating with the agreement of Randy Bina (Executive Director, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District) to recommend the Agreement for approval to the District Board at its October 15<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><sup>th <\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\">meeting,&rdquo; said Dick Radatz, Jr., President of the Northwoods League.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\n\t<span class=\"s1\">###<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\n\t<em><span class=\"s1\">The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. The 22 year old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 135 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
