\n\tKALAMAZOO, MI<\/strong> – For the second time in four days, the Battle Creek Bombers complete the late inning comeback to down their rival, the Kalamazoo Growlers. The Growlers took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning, but the Bombers put four on the board to compete the comeback, 5-4.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Growlers walked four and gave up two singles in the ninth, and then Bombers leftfielder Daniel Jipping (Central Michigan) drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly to left field.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDevin Pellien (Nova Southeastern) threw seven shutout innings before giving way to the Growlers bullpen with a 4-0 lead. It was Pellien’s first start of the season and one of two starters to go at least seven innings of shutout baseball this season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDan Robinson (Central Michigan) and Sam Griggs (Southern Indiana) each had two RBI to pace the Growlers offense. Robinson now has multiple hits and at least one RBI in each game he has played for the Growlers in 2016.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDan Leckie (Lafayette College) has extended his hitting streak to five games, a team-high. Leckie singled in the fifth inning, and ended up scoring on a Griggs walk, to extend the streak.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Growlers head back home on Monday to take on Northwoods League defending champion, the Kenosha Kingfish. Tate Brawley (Kellogg CC) is scheduled to start the series opener with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.. On Tuesday, the Growlers will host their second education day at Homer Stryker. Kevin Marnon (Ball State) will be on the bump for the series finale against the Kingfish. First pitch for the series finale will be at 11:05 p.m.\n<\/p>\n
