\n\tKALAMAZOO, MI<\/b> – The Growlers defense carried them to their series splitting victory on Friday night 4-2. The team improved their record to 30-26 this season, beating the previous franchise record of 29 wins. Kalamazoo opened everything up offensively with two runs in the third inning. TJ Marik scored off of a standup RBI double by Connor Kopach. The very next batter was Matt Lloyd who singled in Kopach to give the Growlers a two run advantage.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tTonight’s Growler of the game, Devin Pellien’s lone earned run was given up in the next inning, but the threat ended soon after as the Woodchucks would go the next four innings with just one hit. Pellien went eight innings giving up just one run on six hits, dropping his ERA to a strong 1.59.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tKalamazoo would pick up one more run in the six off of a Trey Ganns RBI single scoring Daniel Robinson from third. This would give the Growlers a 3-1 lead heading into the seventh inning where both teams would fail to score a run.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSam Griggs made his way around the bases in eighth thanks in part to a couple wild pitches and a Marik single.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSubmarine closer Hayden Brauser would enter the game in the ninth giving up just one run and putting the game away for the Growlers with another big win in South Division. Kalamazoo begins their two game series with Kenosha on the road tomorrow night at 7:35.\n<\/p>\n
