\n\tNew Party Deck Will Feature Most Unique Outfield Wall In All Of Baseball<\/em><\/u>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe newest addition to newly renovated Simmons Field arrived earlier today.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tA 43 foot long by 13 foot wide fishing boat built in the early 1930s  and originally named the ‘Bambino’ was installed at historic Simmons Field this morning as part of the outfield wall and a new party venue. The Bambino was long used as a commercial fishing boat in Chesapeake Bay and most recently resided at Mount Clemens Marine in Michigan. After securing permits in four states and traveling for nearly a day, the oversized load fishing boat is in the process of being refurbished and will be used for private parties of up to 25 people during all Kingfish home games. The boat will physically become a part of the outfield wall and will give Simmons Field the most unique outfield wall in all of baseball.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Bambino will also house the left field foul pole, doubling as a zip line, which the Kingfish mascot, King Elvis The First, will use to deliver the first pitch to the pitcher’s mound during every Kingfish home game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kingfish will host their season opener against the Mankato MoonDogs on Saturday, May 31<\/span>st<\/sup> at 6:05 pm at Kenosha’s Historic Simmons Field. Single-game tickets will go on sale on Saturday, April 26.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

Playing its 21st<\/sup> season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including MLB All-Stars Max Scherzer (DET), Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYY), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
