\n\tKenosha, Wis. – The second game of the Kingfish and Loggers series started as a call and response game with both teams scoring in multiple innings. The game made it into the sixth inning, with the Kingfish leading 6-4. The game was sent into a weather delay and was later called a rain shortened complete game. The Kingfish win 6-4 in five innings, sweeping the La Crosse Loggers.  <\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt started as a back and forth affair between the two teams. The Loggers struck first in the second and the Kingfish answered right back. Buddy Reed hit a double and was later driven in by a Michael Adkins single. In only six innings, Adkins showed his power, going 2-3 with two RBI and two hits.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe second inning sang the same story, Loggers scored and Kingfish responded. This time it was thanks to a Zach Ratcliff RBI double. The Kingfish pulled ahead in the fourth 3-2 and added three more in the fifth for the 6-4 lead. The Kingfish were able to finish the fifth and enter the sixth inning.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKingfish starter Steven Klimek found his footing after a tumultuous start. He ended the night with the win, striking out two and only allowing three runs.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe game was delayed in the top of the sixth with the Loggers up to bat, no outs and a runner on first.  The game was called as a rain shortened complete game.  \n<\/p>\n

\n\tWednesday, July 30th<\/sup> is a busy day for the Northwoods League, with every team playing a doubleheader. The Kingfish take on the Lakeshore Chinooks, the first game will be at 12:05 p.m. at Simmons Field and the second will be at Lakeshore, at 6:35 p.m. Tomorrow’s afternoon game will be Grandparents and Kids Day.\n<\/p>\n
