{"id":3730,"date":"2015-05-29T20:09:57","date_gmt":"2015-05-29T20:09:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/kenosha-kingfish\/?p=3730"},"modified":"2018-01-04T19:01:34","modified_gmt":"2018-01-05T01:01:34","slug":"olson-gets-the-nod-versus-the-chinooks-tonight-705-p-m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/kenosha-kingfish\/2015\/05\/29\/olson-gets-the-nod-versus-the-chinooks-tonight-705-p-m\/","title":{"rendered":"Olson Gets the Nod Versus the Chinooks Tonight 7:05 p.m."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tKenosha, Wis. &ndash; The Kenosha Kingfish host the Lakeshore Chinooks for the return game of a home and home series at the historic Simmons Field on Friday, May 29<sup>th<\/sup>, with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. Tonight is also Smith and Forge Wrestling Night with an appearance by WWE legend Jerry &ldquo;The King&rdquo; Lawler.&nbsp; The Kingfish took the first game of the series last night in Mequon, 9-0.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAnthony Olson will get his first start on the year for the Kingfish.&nbsp; The redshirt junior from Oakton Community College has appeared in one game for the Kingfish this season.&nbsp; The hard throwing right hander is a Kenosha native and is excited about the opportunity to stay home and pitch in his hometown for the summer.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tChinooks RHP Brian Keller will oppose Olson on the mound tonight.&nbsp; Keller will be making his first start for Lakeshore.&nbsp; The junior at UW-Milwaukee is originally from Germantown, Wisconsin.&nbsp; Keller pitched for the La Crosse Loggers last summer in the Northwoods League.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Kingfish improved to 2-1 on the year after last night&rsquo;s victory over the Chinooks.&nbsp; Andrew Zapata went five and two thirds innings along with seven strikeouts to pick up the win.&nbsp; A strong offensive performance was led by LF Eric Filia (3-5, 2 R), C Jake Whiting (3-4, HR, 3 RBIs), and RF Nick Sergakis (2-5, HR).&nbsp; The Kingfish combined for 16 hits on the night.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSaturday the Kingfish host the Battle Creek Bombers at 6:05 p.m., with postgame Miller Lite fireworks immediately following the game.
