\n\tKingfish beat Madison 5-4 in 13 Innings<\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKenosha, Wis. –It took extra innings to decide Monday’s contest, with the Kingfish taking down the Madison Mallards by a final of 5-4 in 13 innings. The Kingfish extended their winning streak to five games.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMadison (7-6) took a 2-0 lead into the third before the Kingfish (10-4) got on the board in the fourth inning when 1B Zach Ratcliff doubled home third basemen Alex Borglin (3-6 with one run) to cut the lead to 2-1.  Heading into the seventh inning, Kenosha trailed 4-1 before the bats got going for the Kingfish.  SS Bobby Sheppard singled in DH Hunter Alexander to get the scoring started.  Later on in the inning, LF Parker Sniatynski (2-5 with one run and one RBI) and 2B Nick Sergakis( One RBI) both drew bases loaded walks to bring in two runs and that tied that game at 4-4. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe game stayed tied until the bottom of the 13th<\/sup> inning.  RF Nolan Lodden led off with a single and two batters later Sniatynski advanced Lodden to third with a single.  3B Andrew Brahier, who came in as a defensive substitute in the 12th<\/sup> inning, grounded out into a fielder’s choice, but a throwing error on Madison C Jean Ramirez advanced Sniatynski home for the winning run.  It is the Kingfish’s second walk off victory in the past four games.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAndrew Zapata started on the mound for the Kingfish and went three innings, allowing one run on four hits.  The Kenosha bullpen was outstanding in relief, allowing seven hits in 10 innings and striking out a combined 16 batters.  Brett Shimanovsky struck out six and Dillon Mazzoccoli fanned five.  Callahan Brown pitched a perfect 13th<\/sup> inning to earn the win and move to 2-0 on the year.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Mallards were led by LF Logan Regnier (2-6 with two RBI) and Jean Ramirez (2-6 with one RBI) at the plate.  Matt Bower started and went six innings, striking out six and allowing one run.  Corbin Olmstead took the loss for the Mallards. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kingfish hit the road and return home to Simmons Field Saturday, June 13th<\/sup> against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.  Herbert’s Jewelers Diamond Dig will take place that night as well as the CCB Technology Fan Appreciation stadium blanket Giveaway.  Stay in your seats after the game and enjoy Camosy Construction Fireworks. \n<\/p>\n
