\n\tKingfish Come From Behind to Top Woodchucks 5-1<\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKenosha, Wis. –The Kingfish used a big seventh inning to capture their 5-1 comeback victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks Sunday afternoon at Simmons Field.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter the first six innings, the Kingfish trailed 1-0 after a home run by Owen Taylor for the Woodchucks in the sixth inning.  The Kingfish put on their rally caps in the bottom of the seventh, with Hunter Alexander leading off the inning with a double.  Eric Filia doubled him home to tie the score at 1-1.  Pinch hitter Zach Ratcliff drove in the eventual winning run with a sacrifice fly to right field to bring home Filia. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kingfish (15-5) picked up three insurance runs in the eighth inning.  Alexander singled home Zach Weigel and then Alex Borglin scored on an error.  Alexander later came in to make it a 5-1 ball game after an Eric Filia RBI single. \n<\/p>\n

\n\t2014 Northwoods League All-Star Rico Garcia made his first start of the year for the Kingfish and was on top of his game.  The “Hawaiian Hammer” struck out seven batters and only allowed three hits all game in five innings.  JD Nielsen came in to work two innings of relief and earned the win.  Ryan Orr and Brett Shimanovsky both pitched a scoreless inning of relief to close it out for Kenosha. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Woodchucks (6-11) could not muster up much offense on the day against Kingfish pitching.   Taylor’s solo home run in the sixth was the only run for the Woodchucks.  Devin Skapura started for Wisconsin and lasted six innings, allowing one run on three hits with four strikeouts.  Reagan Biechler took the loss for the Woodchucks. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tMonday at 7:05 p.m. the Kingfish take on the Kalamazoo Growlers on Festival Foods Oktoberfest Bratwurst Appreciation Night.  The specialty brat of the night is a Festival Oktoberfest brat topped with Philly meat and cheese. Come out to Simmons Field to try the specialty brat and cheer on the Kingfish to victory.\n<\/p>\n
