\n\tKenosha, Wis. – With a potential playoff berth on the line, the Kenosha Kingfish (21-13) battle the Lakeshore Chinooks (17-13) at Simmons Field at 7:05 p.m. tonight in the last game of the first half in the Northwoods League.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTonight’s game will be the second game of a double header today.  The Kingfish are at Lakeshore earlier today, with first pitch scheduled for 11:35 a.m. Kingfish starter PJ Schuster opposes Gavin Downs for Lakeshore. The Kingfish are currently tied for first place in the Northwoods League South Division with the Green Bay Bullfrogs with two games remaining in the first half.  The first half champion is guaranteed a home playoff game in the Northwoods League Divisional Playoffs in August.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTo close out the first half of the season, the Kingfish send Ryne Blanton to the mound.  The freshman from Madison College has been impressive in his last three starts, going 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA and limiting opponents to four walks total in that three game stretch.  Against La Crosse on June 23, Blanton earned a no decision after pitching five innings and allowing two runs on four hits.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSterling Koerner is on the hill for Lakeshore tonight.  Koerner is a sophomore at Florida Gulf Coast and is making his second start on the year.  He is 0-0 with a 2.59 ERA in eight games, striking out 10 batters in 17.1 innings pitched.  \n<\/p>\n

\n\tTonight, the first 100 fans will receive a goldfish on Good Water Aquatics Goldfish Night. Fans will be given a voucher and then receive the fish when they leave. Good Water Aquatics will be auctioning off a top of the line aquarium valued at $1,000. It is $5 per entry, must be present to win. The winner will be chosen in the seventh inning.
