\n\tKingfish Swept by Chinooks in Doubleheader <\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKenosha, Wis. – In the first double header of the season for Kenosha, the Kingfish fell to the Lakeshore Chinooks both in the morning and evening.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe morning game was played in Mequon and saw an offensive showdown. The Kingfish got out to a 6-0 lead, and the offense was in full swing. The lead would not stand, however, as Lakeshore roared back with 10 runs, including a 3-run home run and a grand slam. The score ended 10-8 in favor of the Chinooks.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCharlie Hecht worked 5.2 IP and surrendered 6 ER off of 6 hits. He was relieved by Ty Harris, who struggled on the mound. Harris was only able to record one out, but allowed 4 runs off of a grand slam. Bobby Skogsbergh made his Northwoods League debut and finished the final two innings off without allowing a run.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kingfish offense was excellent, picking up 12 hits and 8 runs. Marty Bechina had the standout performance going 4 for 5. Pat McInerney and Gunnar McNeill each picked up a pair of hits, and helped pace the Kingfish lineup.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn game two, back at Simmons Field, the Kingfish were shut out 5-0. Lakeshore scored early in the second inning, and never looked back. Andrew Reisinger took the mound, lasted 4.1 innings, and surrendered 4 runs, 2 of which were earned. Additionally, he walked 3 and struck out 4. Rigo Beltran and Adam Dressler combined for 4.2 innings of relief, and only gave up one run between them.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMarty Bechina was in the offensive spotlight again with a 2 for 4 day at the plate. Pete Schuler also went 2 for 4 on the evening, with the other three hits scattered between Pat McInerney, Micah Coffey, and JD Hearn.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kingfish take on the Rockford Rivets tomorrow at home for a 7:05 pm first pitch. After that, the Kingfish are on the road in Rockford on Wednesday, and at Lakeshore on Thursday and Friday.\n<\/p>\n
